The famous revolutionary poet Habib Jalib’s daughter, Tahira Habib Jalib, has stated that she was given 5,000 rupees a week to open a “dhaba” (food stall).

Tahira Habib Jalib decided to work hard and make a respectable life instead of seeking help from others, despite the storm of inflation and difficult conditions. She decided to start a mobile “dhaba” (food bath) using her own car after realizing there was no financial benefit to teaching driving.

She obtained utensils and other supplies on credit for this endeavor, but the local mafia and district administration prevented her from working peacefully for even a single day.

Tahira Habib Jalib said that instead of holding out or begging her hands to others , she decides to live life respectfully while maintaining the dignity linked as a duaghter of Habib Jalib in a recent interview with ARY News.

She claims that on the first evening of work, some people showed up at the “dhaba” and said in a threatening manner that Maryam Nawaz had ordered them not to set up any food stalls there. Later, others said that if they paid 5,000 rupees a week in secret, no one would even dare to bother them.

Tahira Habib Jalib further disclosed that on June 3rd, she formally applied to the Town and DC offices for permission to open a “dhaba” (roadside eatery); however, months later, the relevant authorities did not respond to her request or give her a model cart or cabin.

She claims that she made it very plain that she no longer needed any help or favors from the administration following the incident, which caused a disturbance involving the media and the district administration, including the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, and the phone calls started.

In closing, she posed the issue to the rulers: do they ever ask permission before reading Habib Jalib’s poetry? The people and these rulers read it with tremendous excitemen.

Today, she gets questioned about why she was not given permission to perform her duties. Will living, breathing, or even walking in this country need asking for their permission?
