KIRK: One police personnel was martyred and six others were wounded when a police mobile was targeted in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Kirk, ARY News reported.
According to police, the IED detonated in the Ghol Banda area of Bahadur Khel, Kirk, on Monday morning.
Police stated that the martyred personnel has been identified as Wajid, and his body was shifted to a nearby hospital.
All the injured policemen were also rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
On Sunday, three biological brothers were killed in a terrorist incident in Dukki when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonated in the Kali Bakhtiar Khan area.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar, the blast occurred when a vehicle was passing through a pond or ravine.
The three deceased brothers were identified as Rehmatullah, Durrani, and Naimatullah. Another individual, identified as Atiqullah, sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital.
The police have launched a search operation to track down and arrest the perpetrators, the SP added.
