RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday.
According to the military’s media wing, security forces conducted the operation on September 2, 2026, after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists affiliated with Indian proxy group Fitna al-Hindustan.
During the operation, a terrorist hideout was identified, monitored and subsequently busted through prompt surgical action by security forces, killing all twelve Indian sponsored terrorists, the ISPR said. A cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also destroyed at the site, it added.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area, according to the statement.
The ISPR said the relentless counter terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Earlier, two terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Washuk district of Balochistan, security sources said on Monday.

According to the sources, the operation was carried out in the Palantak area of Washuk as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH).
The two terrorists killed in the operation were involved in attacks on the Mashkhel Police Station and the Customs House, the sources said.
The terrorists’ vehicle was also destroyed during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site, according to security sources.
The sources further stated that the recovered weapons and ammunition were intended for use in targeted killings of civilians and further terrorist activities in Balochistan.
