Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) market closed higher on Thursday, 17 September, 2026, as the benchmark KSE-100 Index rose by 1,021.40 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 169,043.20, compared with the previous close of 168,021.80.
The index traded between a high of 169,576.52 and a low of 168,222.92 during the session.
Trading activity also increased. Turnover in the regular market reached 386,368,068 shares, up from 356,137,791 shares in the previous session.
The traded value rose to approximately Rs. 20,091,221,846, compared with Rs. 19,486,786,540 previously. Market capitalization also increased to around Rs.18,847,353,485,602, from Rs. 18,721,163,322,643.
Of the 500 companies traded in the Ready Market, 296 recorded transactions. Among them, 152 stocks gained, 52 declined, while 52 were unchanged.
