Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai has warned that the party’s planned march on 4 October 2026 may turn violent, he also believes that the government could also be toppled.
Speaking to ARY News, PTI leader suggested his party that the long march should be postponed. He also advised the party leadership to consult before the proposed march.
The PTI leader said he had written to his party over the issue and had asked senior leaders to consult one another about the planned march.
‘If the protest is not called off, the party leadership should at least hold consultations before proceeding.’ Yousafzai said.
He added that the party’s preparations were complete and that supporters would take to the streets, but on the other hand, he expressed fear that the march could become bloody.
“The march could turn bloody,” he said, urging the party to reconsider its plans in light of the current situation.
Yousafzai warned that a dangerous narrative was being developed against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government.
He argued that there was no need to dissolve the provincial assembly, saying this would only benefit the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He believes that the PML-N government is already on the path of collapse.
PTI leader also alleged that the government was considering moves to ban the PTI, describing such a step as unacceptable.
Asked about a possible change in the KP chief minister, Yousafzai said any decision to replace Sohail Afridi with former chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur could only be taken by PTI founder Imran Khan.
