Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced plans to develop a Manhattan-style city near the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad, with a separate set of laws and regulations.

Speaking at the Saudi-Pak Real Estate Expo in Lahore, Naqvi said the proposed city would cover 1,000 acres, with a central park surrounded by a lake and commercial and residential complexes.

He also said the government planned to build what he described as Asia’s largest safari park in Islamabad.

Naqvi urged investors to take advantage of opportunities in Pakistan’s real estate sector, describing the expo as an important platform for attracting investment.

Interior Minister added that the government planned to auction valuable land in December, including plots and commercial properties.
