Rockstar Games and Netflix have officially released Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), offering fans an extended look at the long-awaited game ever. After years of rumors, waiting, and a recent leak by a hacker called Cyberleek, the new gameplay preview confirms a November 19 release date. It provides a detailed overview of the game’s mechanics, visuals, and main characters.

Jason and Lucia take over Vice City

At the heart of the game, GTA 6 is a crime story inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, with players taking on the roles of Jason Duval, a former soldier turned drug runner, and Lucia Caminos, who has just been released from prison and is known for her fighting skills.

The preview showed the pair working together in Vice City, dealing with failed pickups, drug operations, and violent shootouts. Players will be able to switch between Jason and Lucia during missions, including moments where they act as security at a lavish party that quickly turns dangerous.

New gameplay and morality mechanics

The new extended GTA 6 gameplay confirmed a mixture of fresh and familiar features designed to draw players deeper into the world. In Combat, a slow-motion aiming mode that highlights enemy weak spots in red.

Rockstar has also added a background morality system, represented by icons such as a demon head, that tracks players’ choices.

Physical stats make a comeback as well, with characters able to gain or lose weight and muscle depending on how they eat and exercise.

Building on ideas from Red Dead Redemption II, the game lets players interact more with non-playable characters, including petting stray dogs.

In-game social media is set to play a bigger part, with livestream challenges and chat features popping up during police chases. Beyond the main story, players can take part in street races, dirt track competitions, scuba diving, and base jumping from tall buildings.

Graphics and expanded soundtrack

The presentation put a spotlight on the game’s realistic environments, lifelike NPCs, and detailed character models.

Driving through Vice City is still a key part of the experience, now backed by an extensive licensed soundtrack. The music lineup covers a wide range of genres and decades, with artists like Kodak Black, Def Leppard, Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, and Lil Wayne already confirmed.

Even after a flood of leaked footage appeared online, Rockstar’s official presentation brought plenty of new information, especially about Lucia’s gameplay, helping to settle many of the rumors that had been circulating in the community.
