LAHORE, September 1, 2026: An application has been filed seeking the registration of a case against traffic officials over the alleged negligence that led to the death of a citizen, ARY News reported.

The deceased citizen, identified as Zain, died at Services Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in an accident.

Zain’s brother, Ayaz, submitted applications against a traffic assistant and a senior traffic warden at Shadman police station and the DIG office.

According to the application, the assistant traffic warden allegedly came into the middle of the road and pushed Ayaz’s brother’s moving motorcycle, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer a skull fracture.

The application further alleged that the traffic assistant and senior traffic warden registered a case against Zain to protect themselves.

The DIG Operations has directed the SP Model Town to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

The accident took place on an evening in August, while Zain succumbed to his injuries at Services Hospital today.
