FIA arrests alleged human-trafficking agent in Lahore

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan says it has arrested a suspected agent involved in the alleged production and use of fake visas and visa stickers in Lahore.

According to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore, 305 Pakistani passports, fake visa stickers from various countries, and around 100 fake cards and other forged documents were also recovered from the accused’s possession.

The suspect, identified by the FIA as Muhammad Ajmal Iqbal, was also wanted in connection with an earlier FIA case registered in Lahore in 2020, FIA said.

The FIA said a case has been registered under FIR No. 1001/2026, sections 18/22EO 1979,420/468/471/109 PPC,6 PA 1974, at its Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore.

The agency said further investigation is under way.
