KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) on Friday recovered meat from a dead animal during a raid in Lyari, ARY News reported.
During the raid in Agra Taj Colony, officials discovered that an illegal slaughterhouse had been set up inside a residential house.
The SFA team arrested a butcher who was caught slaughtering a dead animal.
Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the culprits based on complaints from area residents.
An SFA spokesperson stated that meat samples will be sent to a laboratory for testing.
The authority reaffirmed its resolve to continue taking strict action against anyone jeopardizing public health.
