ISLAMABAD: The federal government has revised the profit rates for key National Savings schemes, including Defence Savings Certificates and Behbood Savings Certificates, with the new rates applicable from September 2026.
Under the revised schedule, the maturity period for Defence Savings Certificates remains 10 years. An investment of Rs100,000 will grow to Rs300,000 at maturity, according to the revised returns.
For an investment of Rs100,000, the value after the first year has been set at Rs110,000. It will rise to Rs121,000 in the second year, Rs133,000 in the third year, Rs147,000 in the fourth year and Rs163,000 in the fifth year.
The investment value will increase to Rs182,000 after six years, Rs204,000 after seven years, Rs230,000 after eight years and Rs262,000 after nine years.
The government has also revised the profit rate for Behbood Savings Certificates as part of the latest changes to National Savings schemes.
The revised rates form part of the government’s updated National Savings profit schedule for September 2026.
