Ultrahuman Ring Pro launches at $479 with titanium build and huge battery

Ultrahuman Ring Pro

The Ultrahuman Ring Pro costs $479 and features a titanium body, sleep and recovery tracking, and a wide range of health metrics. Along with standard data like resting heart rate, HRV, skin temperature, and sleep stages, it also includes specialized features such as Ultra Age for biological age, Pulse Age for blood flow, and Brain Waste Clearance for cognitive recovery during sleep.

T3 reviewed the smart ring and praised the amount of data it provides. However, they found some metrics hard to understand and not very useful in practice.

Battery life is one of the Ring Pro’s main strengths. T3 reported that after almost nine days in Chill Mode, 53% of the battery remained. Even in the more demanding Turbo Mode, the battery was expected to last over twelve days.

This means the advertised 15-day battery life could be accurate, at least in good conditions. For comparison, the Oura Ring 5 lasted about six days with SpO₂ tracking on, according to a two-month test by Wareable. The Ring Pro lasted much longer in T3’s tests.

Another benefit is that no subscription is required. Basic features like sleep tracking, recovery analysis, and key health data are available without monthly fees. However, not everything is free. Jade Pro, the paid AI health assistant, and some PowerPlugs, which are extra analysis and health modules, cost extra.

T3 notes that if users subscribe to several add-ons, they might end up paying more than they would for an Oura subscription.

The Ultrahuman Ring Pro’s fitness tracking still needs improvement. T3 found that some walks were not detected or were tracked poorly. Sometimes, it rounded activities to five-minute blocks. T3 considers the Oura Ring 5 better, especially for automatic activity detection.

T3 also commented on the design of Ultrahuman’s new smart ring. At 2.65 mm thick and weighing between 3.3 and 4.8 grams, the Ring Pro is heavier and bulkier than the Ring Air. The review also says it looks bulkier compared to the Oura Ring 5.

However, the titanium body’s build quality gets positive feedback. Overall, T3 sees the Ultrahuman Ring Pro as a strong sleep and recovery tracker with great battery life. Still, T3 thinks the overall package does not quite match the Oura Ring 5.
