Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has invited the leaders of Kuwait and Bahrain to attend the second GCC-EU Summit, which the Kingdom will host in October.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent separate messages to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, inviting them to participate in the high-level gathering.
The invitation to the Kuwaiti emir was delivered by Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled during a meeting in Kuwait City.
A separate message was conveyed to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa by Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi during a meeting at Al-Sakhir Palace.

King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the invitation and highlighted the longstanding fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
He reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties across various fields for the benefit of their peoples.
The Bahraini monarch also praised King Salman’s efforts to deepen Saudi-Bahraini relations and commended Saudi Arabia’s role in promoting cooperation and coordination among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
King Hamad expressed hope that the upcoming GCC-EU Summit would contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the Gulf states and the European Union and expanding longstanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
