Lahore police arrested one suspect, identified as Mohsin, in connection with the alleged gang rape of an Azerbaijani woman in Defence C, DIG Investigation said.
Azerbaijani woman Diana registered a case of alleged gang rape at Defence C Police Station in Lahore.
The DIG Investigation said the woman underwent a medical examination, which indicated that sexual assault had occurred.
Her statement under Section 164 was also recorded before the competent court, the DIG Investigation said.
Meanwhile, raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest two other suspects, according to the DIG Investigation.
According to the medical report, pressure marks were found on the woman’s shoulder, while injuries were also observed on her knee. DNA samples were also collected from her body.
The report stated that marks found on specific parts of the woman’s body confirmed sexual assault.
The medical team has also referred the Azerbaijani woman to a psychiatrist. The medical report stated that she was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.

Police said the suspects allegedly threatened the woman during the assault by claiming to have high-level connections.
According to the report, the suspects who allegedly assaulted the woman are between 25 and 30 years old.
Earlier, 15 people were taken into custody on suspicion.
Police said they had recovered the vehicle allegedly used by the suspects. A white car was allegedly used to trap and take the woman, while the vehicle used in the incident is reportedly owned by alleged suspect Tanveer.
The Crime Control Department (CCD), Operations and Investigation Police are taking part in efforts to arrest the suspects. Police raids are under way in different areas.
