KARACHI: Pakistan Railways has decided to upgrade Drigh Road Railway Station in Karachi with modern facilities, ARY News reported.
As part of the project, the station will undergo renovation and modernisation. Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways Karachi Jamshed Alam visited the station along with other officials to review the proposed upgradation plan and issued instructions for its implementation.
During the visit, Jamshed Alam also inspected railway points and crossings around the station. Officials reviewed issues at the railway points and crossings, as well as operational hurdles.
He directed officials to take measures to ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted train operations.
The DS Railways Karachi said providing quality and comfortable travel facilities to passengers was a priority. He added that the station’s upgradation would improve facilities for daily commuters.
