Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamiana said the campaign would continue until Lahore was made drug-free.
In a statement, the CCPO directed police officers to intensify operations against drug peddlers and bring all those involved in the narcotics supply chain to justice.
He also ordered stricter action against drug dealers operating near educational institutions and directed officers to take legal action against those involved in the online sale and purchase of narcotics.
According to the police spokesperson, authorities recovered 2,200 kilogrammes of charas, 720 kilogrammes of ice (crystal methamphetamine), 113 kilogrammes of heroin, 439 kilogrammes of cannabis, 53 kilogrammes of opium and more than 25,000 litres of liquor from the arrested suspects.
