Islamabad: During a press briefing, Health Minister Mustafa Kamal angrily told an elderly citizen to come talk to him rather than having a video made.
A civilian who was present at Mustafa Kamal’s news conference expressed regret for the incident and informed the Health Minister that an FIR should be filed against all those responsible for the unfortunate event at PIMS Hospital.
“You, too, are simply standing there getting a video recorded; come over here and talk to me,” Mustafa Kamal replied. In response, the old person said, “I have no wish to get a video recorded.”
Notably, a terrible fire at the nursery ward of the federally run PIMS Hospital claimed the lives of fourteen newborns. When the parents view their children’s burned bodies, they are overcome with grief.
The nursery unit was already locked when the fire started, and neither doctors nor staff were there, according to a woman who wept. Only the infants were burned, no staff members were harmed, and everything else at the hospital was in order.
The father of the deceased child claimed that the hospital management closed the doors on us rather than offering assistance.
