RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) interacted with a delegation of students from Harvard Business School representing multiple countries during their visit to Pakistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
According to the military media wing, the interaction focused on regional and global developments, Pakistan’s security outlook and efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.
The Field Marshal highlighted the importance of education, skill development, entrepreneurship and applying fact-based analytics amongst young people to contribute meaningfully in an increasingly volatile world, prone to social media and propaganda.
The students from Harvard Business School highlighted their wonderful experiences during the ongoing visit, particularly their appreciation of the openness and warmth of the people of Pakistan as well as the tremendous potential and opportunities that Pakistan possesses, the ISPR added.
Pakistan rejects reports claiming Field Marshal visited Iran as Trump’s envoy
Earlier, Pakistan on Thursday rejected claims that Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Iran as an envoy of US President Donald Trump, calling the claims misleading and factually incorrect.
At his weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan remained engaged with brotherly countries in sincere and concerted efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and the Gulf, including the standoff between the United States and Iran.
Andrabi said Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Tehran on August 24 as part of Pakistan’s continuing diplomatic efforts to facilitate de-escalation, help break the military stalemate and explore a negotiated settlement to restore regional peace and stability.
