PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to repair and restore five major highways across the province, ARY News reported.
For this purpose, the KP Highways Authority has issued an e-tender with an estimated total cost of Rs 103 million for repairing these vital routes.
The project covers the Mansehra, Shergarh, Darband, Chapar, and Thakot highways.
A special repair drive will be conducted on the 38 km Mansehra–Ogi–Shergarh highway, with Rs 45 million allocated for its construction.
Additionally, Rs 35 million has been set aside for the repair of the Shergarh–Darband and Chapar–Chandor highways.
Meanwhile, Rs 30 million has been fixed for repairing the 15 km Thakot–Darband road, and Rs 3 million has been designated for clearing debris and landslides along a 35 km stretch of Highway S-5.
Bids have been invited from qualified contractors through an e-payment system. All participating companies must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as well as the KP Revenue Authority.
