ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police have launched a “Mechanic on Wheels” service to assist citizens with roadside emergencies, such as flat tires and mechanical breakdowns, ARY News reported.
The traffic police introduced the initiative to ensure commuters receive rapid assistance whenever their vehicles experience sudden technical faults.
Citizens in distress can dial the helpline 1915 to request immediate roadside assistance.
According to an Islamabad Traffic Police spokesperson, trained technicians from “Mechanic on Wheels” will be dispatched to the location to provide on-site repairs, sparing drivers long waits and unsafe roadside situations.
The Islamabad Police launched the service under the slogan: “Where your car stops, help arrives.”
Officials added that the initiative aims to make travel across the federal capital safer and smoother by offering quick solutions to mechanical issues.
Islamabad Traffic Police have appealed to the public: “If your vehicle breaks down, don’t worry—just call 1915 to get assistance from Mechanic on Wheels.”
