Saudi Arabia and Nepal have signed an agreement aimed at strengthening air transport links between the two countries.
The agreement was signed in Kathmandu by Ali Rajab, executive vice-president for Air Transport and International Cooperation of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia, and Jaya Narayan Acharya, joint secretary at Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The deal is intended to provide a safe and orderly framework for air transport between both countries, while keeping regulations in line with developments in international aviation.
During his official visit to Nepal, Ali Rajab also met the country’s Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel.
The two sides discussed ways to expand cooperation in civil aviation and tourism.
