CHINIOT, September 5, 2026: A man allegedly killed his wife and three children over a land dispute in Chiniot, ARY News reported.

According to reports, the tragic incident took place in Nekokara village. The suspect, identified as Nawaz, allegedly killed his wife with the help of accomplices on August 30 and took the children with him.

Police said Nawaz later allegedly killed his three children, Ali Nawaz, Saba Zahra and Umm Baneen, and buried them in a cemetery.

Police said a case had already been registered at Sadar police station on the complaint of the victim’s father. The deceased children were between three and eight years old.

Sources said the husband had asked his wife to transfer the land to his name. She reportedly told him that she had kept the land for her children. The suspect allegedly became enraged and killed his wife and children.

According to investigating officials, the cemetery was excavated during the search for the children. The bodies of all three children were recovered from the site.

The initial post-mortem report of the children has also emerged.

Police said the children were given an intoxicating substance before they were allegedly killed.

According to police, the children died four to five days before their bodies were recovered. The detailed post-mortem report will be issued later.
