KANDHKOT: Three more people, including the driver of a passenger coach, succumbed to their injuries following an accident on the Indus Highway near Tangwani, bringing the death toll to nine, ARY News reported.
Police stated that a large number of people were also wounded in the mishap, with 51 victims admitted to a nearby hospital. According to authorities, around 20 of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Meanwhile, funeral prayers for five of the victims were offered in their native areas.
In a separate accident in Khairpur, a trailer and a car collided head-on, killing three people on the spot. Police stated that the trailer driver fled the scene, while the bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khairpur.
