KARACHI: ARY News has obtained an audio recording of a conversation between Police Surgeon Dr. Sumaiya and MLO Dr. Osama in the Mir Raza case.
In the audio, Police Surgeon Dr. Sumaiya can allegedly be heard assuring MLO Dr. Osama about several matters related to the report.
Dr. Sumaiya told Dr. Osama that the report would be copied to the MLO concerned.
“This report will come in your name, not mine,” Dr. Sumaiya can be heard saying.
She further told Dr. Osama to release the report immediately after receiving it.
“We will prepare every word of the report while sitting together,” she said, adding that they would release it after preparing the report.
Dr. Sumaiya can also be heard saying that she would release the report to Jibran Nasir and tell him, “This is the report.”
She said Mir Raza’s family would then take the matter of the report further.
“And I have already told you this before,” Dr. Sumaiya can be heard saying.
She further said that they would say they had no complaint against Dr. Osama.
“They have also mentioned in their final report that torture took place,” Dr. Sumaiya said.
In response, Dr. Osama asked Dr. Sumaiya when he should come to her the following day so that he could schedule his visit.
“You will get out of this, don’t worry. You have already got out,” Dr. Sumaiya can be heard telling him.
“This fight is mine,” she added.
