The Public Authority for Civil Aviation in Kuwait has denied reports that an airline operating at Kuwait International Airport will begin transit flights from 1 October, 2026.
The spokesperson for the authority, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the reports were inaccurate, saying airlines operating at the airport had not been informed of any decision to launch transit flights on the date mentioned.
He urged airlines to verify information and regulatory decisions with the competent authorities before publishing announcements about flight operations or air services.
He said the authority had condemned the release of inaccurate announcements, warning that they could cause confusion among passengers and the wider public.
The authority said any future decisions or developments concerning transit-flight operations would be announced officially through its approved communication channels.
Passengers and airlines have been advised to rely on official information when making travel and operational arrangements.
