The Dallas Wings put the wraps on their WNBA season on a winning note as they breezed past the Seattle Storm 103-91. Paige Bueckers paced the host team’s balanced attack as the Wings played with all engines firing to wrap up the regular season on a high note.
The win extended Seattle’s losing streak to five games, wrapping up a tough finish to the regular season, while Dallas proved why the core of that team is still formidable in the postseason.
One of the pivotal points in the second quarter with 4:35 remaining, when Seattle rookie Awa Fam tried to contest a jump shot by Bueckers. Bueckers made the jumper with contact, but the game officials commenced a review for a reckless closeout.
Video review determined the foul was actually a Flagrant 1. If called a Flagrant 1, the league’s Flagrant Foul Policy stipulates a $500 fine for the first disciplinary penalty Fam’s rookie year.
The Wings have already secured a franchise-record 20 wins and, with the league’s most dynamic duo of guards continuing to shine, Dallas enters the playoffs with the momentum of having won 13 of its last 17.
Bueckers’ floor leadership, Ogunbowale’s scoring punch and Shepard’s versatility will make Dallas a challenge to beat in the first round.

One hit after another upon one another, Dallas was on fire early. Led by Paige Bueckers’ 25 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds on 60 percent shooting, Dallas kept the ball flying.
Arike Ogunbowale hit on her usual long-range bombs for 23 points. Jessica Shepard was all over the place, grabbing her monster triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.
This time, Dallas was able to hold back the effort of Dominique Malonga, who scored 29 points, and rookie Awa Fam, with 22, but couldn’t contain the offensive balance.
