Opposition delegation meets JI Chief Hafiz Naeem in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Leaders from the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called on Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief, Engineer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, in Islamabad on Friday to invite him to an All-Parties Conference (APC), ARY News reported.

The joint opposition delegation included Asad Qaiser, Raja Nasir Abbas, Barrister Gohar, and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.

Meanwhile, JI Chief Hafiz Naeem was assisted by Deputy Chief Liaquat Baloch, Mian Aslam, and JI Islamabad Ameer Nasrullah Randhawa.

During the meeting, they discussed the country’s overall political situation, with the opposition delegation formally extending an invitation to the JI Chief for the APC.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Raja Nasir Abbas, thanked the JI Chief for rejecting the potential imposition of emergency and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
