RAWALPINDI: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed in the Dhok Naju area of Khyaban-e-Sir Syed, with a relative identified as the main suspect after her body was recovered from his home, ARY News reported.
According to police, the family of the deceased—a seventh-grade student—Maimona registered a First Information Report (FIR) for kidnapping on Tuesday night after she went missing on her way to a seminary around 2:00 PM.
Later, her body was found inside a nearby house, police said.
Police collected evidence and crucial clues from the scene before shifting the body to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities have identified the suspect, who managed to flee, and have launched raids to apprehend the perpetrator.
Police stated that all aspects of the incident will be thoroughly investigated and vowed to bring the culprit to justice swiftly.
City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera took notice of the kidnapping, rape, and murder of the girl.
The CPO sought a detailed report from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and ordered the immediate arrest of the suspect.
