LAHORE: The price of naan in Lahore has been increased by Rs 5, ARY News reported, citing the President of the Naanbai Association.
President of the Naanbai Association, Aftab Gill, stated that the prices of roti and sesame-topped naan (Khamiri/Roghani) have not been increased.
He said that following the Rs 5 hike, the new price of a single naan has risen to Rs 35.
Aftab Gill informed that the price of standard roti remains fixed at Rs 20 in Lahore.
He explained that tandoor owners were forced to buy expensive LPG due to gas load shedding, adding that the price of plain fine flour (maida) has surged by Rs 3,000 per 80 kg sack.
He added that plain naan and sesame-topped flatbreads are now priced equally at Rs 35 each.
