The Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan has announced to organize a four-day training program aimed at improving artificial intelligence (AI) skills among university faculty members.
The program, titled “AI Literacy for Faculty Members: Building AI-Ready Institutions”, will be organized by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), HEC.
The program is scheduled to take place on 27, 28 and 31 August 2026, and 1 September 2026, from 9 AM to 4PM.
The training will focus on helping educators integrate AI into curriculum design, teaching, learning, assessment, research and academic administration, according to an announcement by the HEC.
The training will be held in smart classrooms at around 100 universities.
Eligibility:
The program is open to full-time regular or permanent faculty members, preferably newly inducted faculty members.
Universities have been encouraged to nominate suitable faculty members to benefit from the initiative and contribute to the development of AI-ready higher education institutions.
