Islamabad: After the incident, video from inside the PIMS Hospital nursery has surfaced, displaying burned baby cribs, incubators, and other equipment.
The severity of the terrible destruction in the nursery unit was made clear by video that emerged after the fire at PIMS Hospital.
In her report, Farah Rabbani, an ARY News correspondent in Islamabad, detailed the incident firsthand; the video footage shows the horrific destruction wrought by the fire.
The incubators and other medical equipment within the impacted nursery ward were turned to ashes, and the fire damaged nearly everything, including the floor and ceiling.
The report states that after being consumed by the fierce fire, the metal portions of the ward’s door also burned. While the surrounding wards seem to be safe, nothing in the impacted chamber remained undamaged.
The impacted room still has remnants of the fire and a strong smell of burned objects, according to firsthand observation, suggesting that the fire was very severe.
