ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Economic Affairs clarified that the project of Diamir Basha Dam for generating a whopping 4500 MW electricity has not been cancelled informing that all the news regarding cancellation of the project are baseless and misleading, ARY News reported.
Dia Mir Basha Dam still is a part of a national priority, the ministry stated while along with water reservoir hydral electricity is a vital project.
The government has not cancelled its capacity of generating electrcity while a planning with WAPDA and respective ministries for the hydro power project, the minister added.
The Ministry has informed the masses to rely on authentic government and other information.
The Economic Affairs Ministry expressed determination that the government is committed to complete the dam and hydral energy services.
The completion of the Dia Mir Basha Dam Pakistan water and energy security will be strengthended .
