Speculation surrounding Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s reported engagement has intensified following President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to Austria.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also reportedly present in Austria.
According to sources within the Pakistan Peoples Party, the family will formally announce the engagement once the matter is finalized. The sources said that all family members are expected to attend Bilawal Bhutto’s engagement ceremony.
Reports circulating about the prospective marriage have linked the prospective bride to the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, Austria’s former imperial family, with some accounts describing her as a descendant of Karl I, the last reigning Emperor of Austria.
A photographer is also accompanying President Asif Ali Zardari on his private visit to Austria. According to the Presidency, President Zardari has travelled to Austria on a private visit.

However, Bilawal Bhutto’s spokesperson has denied reports regarding his engagement and marriage, describing the reports as incorrect.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab also said that Bilawal Bhutto has neither married nor entered into a nikah.
The reports regarding Bilawal Bhutto’s engagement remain the subject of speculation. PPP sources maintain that the family will make a formal announcement if and when the matter is finalized.
