Police Surgeon releases final exhumation report

KARACHI, August 31, 2026: The final report of the exhumation board formed by the Karachi Police Surgeon in the Mir Raza case has been released, stating that Mir Raza died due to a ruptured heart, ARY News reported.

According to the report, Mir Raza sustained a gunshot wound that entered from the back and exited from the front of his chest.

A high concentration of explosive particles was found on Mir Raza’s back, according to the exhumation board report.

The report states that the evidence is not consistent with suicide and describes the manner of death as inconsistent with suicide.

The presence of hydrochloric acid on Mir Raza’s shirt was also confirmed, the report said.

Traces of the anesthetic drug bupivacaine were found in Mir Raza’s blood, according to the report.

However, laboratory analysis found no evidence of narcotic, sedative or poisonous substances in the samples.

The report said samples taken from Mir Raza’s shirt contained particles produced by gunfire.

Traces of lead and barium were found on both the front and back portions of the shirt, according to the report.

The report states that the presence of lead and barium is consistent with particles produced by firing a firearm.

The final findings of the exhumation board provide forensic evidence that the manner of death does not match suicide.
