KARACHI, September 3, 2026: The Sindh Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution against any division of Sindh, ARY News reported.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Khuhro presented the resolution in the assembly, which was approved by all members present in the house. Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah announced the unanimous approval of the resolution.
During the session, all PPP members were carrying banners reading “Sindh is the motherland.” copposed any form of division of the province.
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah addressed the house and said Sindh would not be divided.
Warning the National Assembly, Murad Ali Shah said, “You cannot even talk about breaking Sindh into pieces or dividing Sindh.”
Pointing towards the opposition benches, the chief minister said it had become clear who was practising double standards.
He said those who had disappeared from the assembly were now talking about the division of Sindh, adding that those people had “sucked Pakistan dry.”
Following the passage of the resolution, Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah adjourned the session until 2:30pm on Friday.
