ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, ARY News reported on Sunday.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar thanked Türkiye for hosting the meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee.
The two foreign ministers reviewed progress on the understandings reached during the Istanbul meeting.
They also discussed ways to further advance cooperation under the Makkah Defence Alliance.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar and Fidan exchanged views on regional and global developments.
The two sides also discussed matters of mutual interest and opportunities to enhance cooperation at multilateral forums.
The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Türkiye agreed to remain in close contact, the Foreign Office spokesperson said.
Pakistan and Türkiye reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation under the Makkah Defence Alliance.
Earlier in the day, Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
The two Foreign Ministers discussed Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly matters concerning regional security.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister invited Ishaq Dar to undertake a bilateral visit to Egypt at his earliest convenience.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and agreed to remain closely engaged on regional security matters.
They also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
