Al-Nassr fans direct backlash at this star player following 2-1 Clasico loss to Al-Ittihad

Al Nassr fans slam 30 year old star

Al-Nassr supporters vented their frustration at 30-year-old winger Kingsley Coman following a disappointing 2-1 defeat against rivals Al-Ittihad in Jeddah.

The loss marked the Knights of Najd’s first defeat of the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League campaign, ending their unbeaten start and leaving them three points adrift of rivals Al-Hilal at the top of the standings.

In a highly anticipated Clasico encounter, manager Ange Postecoglou named Coman in the starting XI alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, keeping faith in the lineup that previously secured a victory over Al-Taawoun.

However, the visitors found themselves trailing early as Al-Ittihad’s young forward George Ilenikhena scored twice within the opening 22 minutes.

Although Ângelo Gabriel pulled a goal back for Al-Nassr late in the first half, the team struggled to find an equalizer as Al-Ittihad maintained their defensive composure to seal all three points.

Coman came under intense scrutiny from fans online after delivering an ineffective display on the flank. The French international failed to register a single shot on goal, create a goalscoring opportunity, or complete a successful dribble during his 60 minutes on the pitch before being forced off due to an injury and replaced by Ayman Yahya.

Supporters expressed their outrage across social media platforms, with several calling his contribution ineffective and suggesting he should move on from the club after going five league appearances without a goal involvement.

The defeat halts momentum for Ronaldo and his teammates as they look to mount a title challenge this season.

With critical points dropped in Jeddah, Al-Nassr will need to recalibrate quickly in their upcoming fixtures to close the gap on the league leaders and integrate their high-profile attacking line more efficiently.
