Xiaomi was one of the first brands to release phones with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips. So far, only the Pro models have launched, and the regular Xiaomi 18 was missing from the recent event.
The Chinese company has hinted that the standard flagship for the Xiaomi 18 series will launch soon. A new leak from a well-known source, The Panda is Bald, says the non-Pro version will have a 6.4-inch OLED display, making it as compact as the Pro model.
The leak mentions it will use an M11 panel with a flat display. Like the Xiaomi 18 Pro, it should run on the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. The camera setup is also expected to be similar to the Pro model.
According to The Panda Is Bald, the regular Xiaomi 18 will have a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP wide lens. The periscope camera will offer 3x optical zoom, which is slightly less than the Pro model’s 3.2x zoom (16/512GB curr. $1,374.24 on TradingShenzhen).
The phone is also expected to have a 7,200mAh battery with 100W fast charging and wireless charging. This would give the regular model a better battery than the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
Like the previous generation, the standard Xiaomi 18 probably won’t have a secondary screen on the back. It should also cost less than the Pro models.
The leaker says the launch will likely happen in China in December 2026, which matches earlier reports. We may learn more details about the Xiaomi 18 soon.
