SYDNEY: Pakistan and Australia are increasingly likely to play a five-Test series against each other
International press reportedly claimed that Cricket Australia Chief Executive Todd Greenberg has alluded to the idea of extending their long-format cricket series with Pakistan to five matches.
Given the significant number of Pakistani expats living in the nation, Cricket Australia Chief Executive Todd Greenberg told local reporters that Pakistan is a possible opponent for an extended Test series.
Australia may soon welcome the Pakistani side for a series of five Test matches, according to Todd Greenberg.
Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Ireland may also get the chance to compete in the competition over the following two-year cycle, he said, describing the participation of 12 nations in the next World Test Championship cycle as a feasible option.
Notably, the Pakistani team will travel to Australia in December of next year, and the two sides will play a series of three Test matches.
