QUETTA: At least 10 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Barkhan district of Balochistan, a CTD spokesperson said on Saturday.
The operation was carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 in the Rarasham Valley after the department received credible intelligence about the presence of militants in the area, the spokesperson said.
According to the CTD, a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists killed during the operation.
Two CTD personnel were also injured during the operation, the spokesperson added.
The department said security forces, including police and CTD personnel, remained committed to eliminating terrorism from Balochistan and would continue operations to counter terrorism in the province.

In a separate operation on October 7, security forces killed five militants during an operation against Fitna al-Hindustan in the Siyapast and Killi Gashtari areas of Mastung district, security sources said.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants killed in that operation, according to the sources.
Clearance and search operations were subsequently launched in the area to locate any remaining militants.
Security forces have reiterated their commitment to continuing counterterrorism operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to combat militancy and maintain security.
