The Ministry of Interior reported on Saturday that 13, 822 infractions of labor, residence, and border security laws were found in Saudi Arabia during inspection campaigns carried out between October 8 and 14.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), there were 6,547 residence offenses, 3,896 border security infractions, and 3,379 labor code violations.

Over the course of the week, authorities detained 2,021 individuals who were trying to enter Saudi Arabia illegally. Twenty-eight more persons were detained for trying to enter the Kingdom illegally.

Additionally, the ministry announced that 24 persons had been arrested on suspicion of violating the regulations by employing, housing, or transporting people.

In order to enforce the restrictions, 34,834 expatriates—32,433 men and 2,401 women—are going through procedures.

20,190 people who were held for breaking regulations were told to get travel documents by contacting their respective embassies or consulates.

Another 6,509 persons were advised to plan their departure, while 9,454 people were returned, according to the Ministry.

Anyone who aids illegal entry into Saudi Arabia, transports violators inside the Kingdom, or offers them refuge, help, or other services faces up to 15 years in prison and a punishment of up to SAR1 million, according to a warning from the Ministry of Interior.

Properties used to provide shelter for violators and vehicles used to transport them may also be seized.

The ministry urged the public to report potential infractions, characterizing such offenses as serious felonies that call for an arrest.

In Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, locals can dial 911. Reports can be submitted via 999 or 996 in other parts of Saudi Arabia.
