Kuwait Education Ministry enforces 20 strict rules to regulate school conduct and student privacy

Kuwait Education Rules for Schools

The Ministry of Education in Kuwait has introduced a comprehensive regulatory directive containing twenty explicit rules to reform institutional operations, enforce administrative discipline, and protect the privacy of students and staff across all public and private educational facilities.

This extensive reform package establishes uncompromising boundaries designed to eliminate unethical practices and maintain a secure, highly professional academic environment. Under the new mandates, school personnel are strictly prohibited from soliciting cash donations, accepting personal gifts, or utilizing academic spaces for commercial promotions.

Financial operations, vendor contracts, and purchasing transactions must now strictly adhere to standardized government auditing procedures to prevent any conflict of interest or unauthorized monetary gains.

Furthermore, the ministry has targeted health and nutrition protocols by banning unapproved external food vendors and requiring daily administrative logs for school canteens to ensure immediate compliance with public health standards.

Beyond fiscal and operational oversight, the regulations impose stringent parameters regarding data security, media coverage, and the digital footprint of educational staff. Organizing campus events, hosting external organizations, or capturing video footage within school grounds now requires formal written authorization from relevant ministry officials.

Crucially, the guidelines forbid teachers and administrators from sharing photographs or personal details of students on personal social media accounts, private messaging groups, or public platforms without prior written parental consent.

Employees are also explicitly barred from leveraging their official capacities to critique administrative policies, leak confidential records, or circulate unverified rumors online.

By consolidating structural accountability with robust privacy safeguards, Kuwait’s educational authorities are establishing a transparent, uniform standard that protects student welfare while preserving the integrity of the national learning ecosystem.
