Police investigating the Mir Raza case have once again questioned the only eyewitness of the case as part of a fresh examination of the crime scene.
The secretary of the investigation committee visited the crime scene, where SSP Ali Raza summoned Yasir, an employee at the nursery where Mir Raza’s body was found, and asked him to re-narrate the incident in detail.
SSP Ali Raza recorded Yasir’s statement on his mobile phone and reassured him, saying: “Do not be afraid or nervous. Nothing will happen.”
The investigator asked Yasir when he first saw the body, where it was lying, and how many flower pots were present.
He also asked about the number of thickets at the scene, what Yasir was doing at the time, and how he noticed the body while watering the plants.
Yasir then gave a detailed account of the incident.
The SSP also inspected the route taken by Mir Raza before his death, including the point from where he turned towards the nursery.
SSP Ali Raza also ordered the statements of the nursery owner and all other employees to be recorded again.
