Quetta/Peshawar: Security forces killed 11 Indian sponsored terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources said on Thursday.

According to security sources, operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Sasol area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan.

In Bannu, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against militants, killing two terrorists and recovering weapons and ammunition.

Security forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout containing explosives during the operation, the sources said.

In Ladha area of South Waziristan, security forces launched an operation on the basis of intelligence information and killed five terrorists. The forces had detected the militants’ movement in time, cordoned off the area and carried out an effective operation, according to security sources.

In Sasool, Khuzdar, security forces conducted an operation against militants, killing four terrorists. The sources said the militants were effectively targeted with the assistance of quadcopters.

The security sources said all necessary measures were taken during the operations to protect the lives and property of civilians and ensure that the local population suffered no harm.

Security forces continue operations under the government’s “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision until the complete elimination of terrorism from the country, the sources added.
