The City Traffic Police in Chakwal have outlined the procedure for 16- to 18-year-olds seeking a juvenile driving permit for motorcycles and scooters.
According to the traffic police, young people aged between 16 and 18 who know how to ride a motorcycle or scooter can obtain a juvenile driving permit from their nearest licensing center, allowing them to ride legally.
Applicants do not have to wait the usual 42 days to obtain the permit. They can receive it on the same day after passing the traffic sign test, the police said.
Fee for driving permit:
The fee depends on the applicant’s age: if an applicant is 16 years old, he has to pay a Rs 1,000 fee, and if 17 years old, then the fee would be charged at Rs 500.
Applicants must provide their B-Form or Child Registration Certificate (CRC).
A parent or guardian must also accompany the applicant and bring their original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
