KARACHI: “We support Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest march, provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah said on Sunday adding that Bilawal Bhutto has also talked about withdrawal of the petroleum levy.

“Jamaat Islami’s movement not used to be violent,” minister said. “The party always protest peacefully,” minister said.

The Jamaat-e-Islami has launched a protest campaign against the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL), with sit-ins across the country, while a long march to Islamabad has been started from today to press for the demand.

Comparing PTI with JI, Nasir Shah observed that the party always liable to protest violently. “They had also tried to dissolve the assemblies,” minister said.

The PTI’s lawyers are themselves enjoying political offices instead of saving the party’s founder, Nasir Shah added.
