Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark remains in the spotlight both on and off the court. During a team practice, the WNBA star unveiled the new colorway of her sneaker, the “Friendship Bracelet” Caitlin 1s, inspired by pop legend Taylor Swift.
The Design: An homage to the Eras Tour
The new kicks have a blush-pink sneaker base with a bold metallic gold Nike swoosh down the side and Clark’s signature personal logo in royal blue on the tongue.
Yet, the real highlight of the design is actually the laces. The thick, fuzzy blush-colored laces are run through with delicate bead charms:
Left Shoe: Contains blue and red block letter beads spelling the initials, “CC,” on the bottom lace.
Left Shoe: Features her signature on the arch.
Giving fans a teaser on her Instagram story, Clark wrote alongside the reveal: “Yeah these are the ones.”
Prior to releasing the theme earlier this month, Clark revealed it at a Indiana Fever home game when she appeared with a pile of blue friendship bracelets, inscribed with the phrases “10.01.26” and “Caitlin 1.”
A Mutual Admiration Society
The collaboration of the largest icons of today is a match we’ve seen before. Clark has been a known “Swiftie” for years, and Taylor Swift in recent years has revealed her admiration for Clark. Swift, in fact, even sent her four bags filled with merch from her record-breaking Eras Tour in 2024 and a letter in which she told Clark how “inspiring” she is to her from afar.
The duo has also been seen hanging out together in VIP suites at Kansas City Chiefs games, rooting for tight end Travis Kelce.
What’s Next for Sneakerheads?
Although a specific public launch date has not been solidified yet, excitement is already at a fever pitch. With the significant crossover between basketball enthusiasts and Swifties, the “Friendship Bracelet” Caitlin 1s are set to be one of the hottest releases of the year.
