The Punjab Police has announced a significant increase in educational scholarships for the children of its employees.
The move follows directives from the Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP), under which scholarship amounts have been increased at several levels of education.
Children pursuing graduation or BS Honors degrees will now receive a minimum annual scholarship of Rs.60,000.
The annual scholarship for intermediate-level education has been doubled from Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000.
For matriculation students whose parents are employees in Grade Four, the scholarship has been increased from Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000 annually.
Punjab Police has also announced that it will cover the full tuition fees for children pursuing specialized degrees, including engineering, medicine, MBA and BBA programs.
