LAHORE, September 4, 2026 Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has said that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, is running a “street movement” on chartered aircraft, ARY News reported.
Speaking to the media, she questioned, “Where have the YouTubers who used to protest over planes gone now?”
Azma Bukhari asked, “How much will this chartered plane cost the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa? The KP government doesn’t even have money to pay salaries, and the Chief Minister is out touring.”
She further asked, “Will this ‘middle-class’ Chief Minister bear the cost of the chartered plane himself? There are YouTubers traveling with the ‘middle-class’ CM on the chartered flight.”
The provincial minister added, “Those who had a problem with Punjab’s aircraft, their own Chief Minister is now going on joyrides. These are the people who commit the crime themselves and then blame others. Their leader spent his entire life shouting ‘thief, thief’ and turned out to be the biggest thief himself.”
“It’s unfortunate. I don’t even know what title to give these people,” she said.
Azma Bukhari demanded that the KP government release the passenger list, the cost, and the flight tracking data. “The flight number being shown is for Islamabad to Bahawalpur. But the flight they traveled on went to Rahim Yar Khan, which means it was a chartered flight.”
In conclusion, she said, “Empty rhetoric won’t work anymore. Show us the receipts. Show us the receipts.”
