KARACHI: Police have held Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi Fida Janwari responsible for administrative negligence in an assault on a family in Defence, following the completion of an inquiry report into the incident, ARY News reported.

According to the inquiry report acquired by ARY News, authorities recommended quashing the case previously registered against the affected family, classifying it as “B Class.”

Sources said the report recommended action against four policemen belonging to District Korangi, alongside departmental proceedings against Darakhshan SHO Rashid Ali, SIO Imran, and Mobile Officer Aftab Mangi.

Furthermore, the report recommended registering a fresh FIR based on the complaint of the victimized family against two women and a man who are clearly visible in video footage of the assault.
